Final Arguments Today in Case of Boy Accused of Killing Mother. Boonville, Ind., Sept. 23.— Closing arguments of the state and defense in the trial here of Willlam Deffendoll, 17, charged with tho murder of his mother, Laura Deffendoll, 70 years old, were begun today, both sides having completed their case. Attorneys for the defense entered a plea of insanity for their client and presented witnesses whose testimony was intended to show that the defend- ant was mentally defcctive.
