GEORGE REYNOLDS Funeral of Well Known Young Man is Largely Attended Today at St. Mary's Church. The funeral of George Reynolds was held at 10 o'clock this morning at St Mary's church, and was largely attend- od. A solemn requiem high mass was sung by Rev James B. Nihill, of Bridgeport Rev. James Tyler of Bridgeport, was deacon: Rev. John T Winters, was sub-deacon, and Rev. Walter McCrann, was master of cere- monles Rev ‘atrick Daly, pastor of 8t. Joseph's church, occupled a seat in the sanctuary. During the mass St. Mary's quartet sang and as the body was being borne from the edifice, Mrs Mary T. Crean sang »me Sweet Day."* The pall bearers were: Hubert Reynolds, James I'. Kiniry, Edward Lardner, Charles P. McCarthy, David | L. Dunn and Richard Long, of New | Haven. The flower bearers were: | John J. Crean, Beter Dorsey, George Conlon and Thomas McNamara. The committal service at the grave in St Mary's new cemetery was conducted by Rev. J. B. Nihill, Rev. Contracts for boring at Shuttle Mea- dow lake and sinking wells at White Bridge, Bristol, in connection with the project for the extension of the city's water supply, were awarded at a spe- clal session of the board of water com- missioners held this noon. The action of the water board is subject to ap- proval by the councll when the matter s reported to this evening's meeting. The Giles Drilling company of 3V Church street, New York city, was given the contract for borings at Shuttle Meadow at $3.26 a running foot. The A. W. Drake Drill company of Scranton, F took the contract for the Bristol job at $300 a well, com- plete.
