The local dealers have made arrangements with their companies for the display of the newest models in their respective makes of cars and each of the 19 companies who make up the New Britain Automobile and Accessory Dealers association has taken sufficient space to advantageously show off the latest models. A most complete line of automoile accessories will also be on exhibition. Several booths will be devoted to those displays. Included will be tires, tools and the numerous appliances which have been or are shortly to be on the market for sale The show will be brought to a close on the evening of April 2 with al formalities, the Cash Awards to Those Selling Most Heralds “Dinty’’ Night. Newsboys in common with youngsters are enthusiastic for Wesley Freckles'' Barry, the cel- ecbrated juvenile photoplay star, who is to be secen at the Palace on Thurs- day, Friday and Satuday in Marshall Neilan’s great production, “Dinty,” and because of their devotion to the youthful funmaker plans have been made to have his screen appearance here have a special significance to them. The newsies are expected to take a prominent part in the Freckles con- test, details of which are given on the amusement page, and in addition ar- rangements have been made to offer them a special reward for a demon- stration of their salesmanship. The hustling young paper mer- chants are to be out in force for “Dinty” Thursday night and for that evening cash prizes are to be offered to those who make the largest num- ber of street sales of The Herald for the day. To the boy who sells the largest number of Heralds on Thurs- day night a prize of $4 will be given. His next competitor will receive $3 and three prizes of $1 each will be given to the next leading salesmen. Competition is keen among the young- sters for the prizes and the young- sters promise an unusual display of their energies on Thursday night. other rpoters COMSTOCK ENCAMPMENT The regular meeting of Comstock Encampment, Friday evening of this week, will take the form of a “sew- ing-bee.” Some of the regalia is in need of Tepair and custodian Gus Melander has purchased needles and thread and will be on hand to instruct the patriarehs in the seamstress art.
