Hyde Park, Vt., Dec. 27.—A jury of married men today sat in judg- ment on the evidence for and against Arthur Mudgett, the lumberman who .is charged with the murder of Amy Shonia, a mill girl at Johnson July 31 last. The case which has been in Hearing for two weeks was given the Jurors just before noon. Closing arguments were made by counsel before Christmas, the court postponing the charge and final refer- ence of the issue until after the holi- day in order that the jury might not be influenced in a hasty decision by considerations of their own Christmas plans or wishes.
