Captain Fox was pinned between the machine and the trolley. Fireman Flynn was thrown from the rear platform where he was standing to the pavement between the tracks on which the east bound trol ley was approaching. The motorman of that car, which was travelling at a fair rate of speed, jammed on th brakes and reversed the motor, stop ping the car just in time to prevent it from passing completely over th prostrate fireman. When spectators rushed to the rescue, only the head shoulders and one hand of Fireman Mynn were visible.
