Wellare Committee Hartford, Oct. 26.—Nominees for the ten new members of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Chamber of Commerce for the next two years ‘were announced today at the executive offices of the chamber in Hartford. There will be five new directors repre- senting the general welfare of the state and one director representing each of the five basic groups of Con- necticut business to be eclected to the Board of Directors at annual meet- ing at the Hotel Taft in New Haven, November 10th and 11th. The general welfare nominees are: John H. Goss, general superintendent, Scovill Manufacturing company, Waterbury, renominated; Col. Wm. H. Hall, Gardiner Hall Jr. & Co., South Willington, remominated; Rt. Rev. John G. Murray, B. D. Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford, Roman Catholic church, renominated; Edward W. Hazen, president Millbrook Dairy Co., Middletown; and Frank H. Johiston of New Britain, director of the Cham- ber of Commerce of the United States. The group’/directors are: George F. Taylor, Hillhouse & Taylor, Williman- tic to represent Trade and Commerce; Henry T. Holt, vice-president Hart- ford-Aetna National Bank, Hartford. renominated to represent banking and insurance; Willlam C. Fisher, treas- urer, Russell Mfg. Co., Middletown, renominated to represent Industries; ! Samuel Ferguson, vice-president Hart- ford Electric Light Company, renomi- nated to represent Public Utilities; and Leonard H. Healey, secretary State Board of Agriculture, renomi- nated to represent agriculture. The elections will take place at a business meeting the morning of November 11th. The new director will meet with the two-year term directors, elected to similar positions last year, together with representatives from the local chambers of commerce and elect the 1921 officers of the chamber at their first session after the annual meeting.
