Among the latter is a two column car- toon of the editor, engaged in the arduous duty of writing up the fore- men’'s outing. Its sporting section contains the averages of the baseball players and its “hall of fame” columns contains numerous personal items which make excellent reading for those familiar with the people and incidents men- tioned. Regarding the basketball team the paper says: League Ts Assured. ! “A New Britain Industrial basketball league for the season of 1920 and 1921, has been firmly organized and promises to be the fastest the city has ever known. “The league this year will be com- posed of the same teams as last year, with the exceptiqn of Russell & Er- win and Hart & Hutchinson, who will not be represented. “The season will start Saturday, November 6th, and the Rule Shop will be there with the goods the minute the game starts. “All games will be played at the Armory on Arch street, rather than the Y. M. C. A. Arrangements are under way to increase the seat- ing capacity of the hall, and, as the floor is larger than that of the Y. M. C. A., these arrangements seem to meet with the approval of"everyvuo interested. “R. R. Merigold will manage the team as he did last year, and Chas. Plude will look out for the interests of the team in securing out-of-town games.
