The sixth ward, which is conceded to he the strong- hold of the democrats in this city, is far ahead of any other ward in ap- plications *‘to-be-made.” This they take to be an indication of added strength in the democratic ranks. A conservative estimate places the number of new voters to be made at 9,000. The registrars are busily compiling lists according to wards and street numbers so that they may be sent to the printers with all pos- sible haste.
