The salesrcom, which occuples a couspicuous place in front of the new buflding Is finished in French gray with walls of sllver gray stain while the fixtures and office furniture are brought out in gray to match. The stock is displayed In specially con- structed cabinets which present the articles to good advantage while the show windows are free from display, contrary to the general rule in acces- sory stores. The unique shelving and show case arrangement is visible from the windaws, however. A feature of that department is the upholstered settees where those having their cars gona over may wait. To the left of the building is a large driveway to the spacious ser- vice rooms where tire troubles, bat- tery charges, carburetor and salid tire service will be maintained by a corps of experts in their respective lines. Space is available to care for 15 cars at a time. A large hydraulic press has been installed f pplying Fire- stone solid truck tires. In the rear of the building, to the | right, a well equipped tire and tube repair department is located. Nearby is the storage battery department, | one of the most complete in New England while equipment is also at hand for recharging electrically pro- pelled vehicles. Mr. Hawker is the | only local accessory dealer having | such an apparatus. In additian to a full line of special and standard accessories, the new building will be used as the local dis- tributing station for Firestone solid and pneumatic tir Zenith carbure- tors, Exide batteries, Diamond, United States and Goodyear tires and acces- sories.
