Officers said they believed the robbers knew of the sale and fol- lowed Underwood. PR e RESIST BANDITS, KILLED. Moving Picture Man and Policeman Tum on Five Who Enter Bank. Chicago, June 17.—A. D. Rouil- lard, owner of a moving picture the- ater, was shot and killed and a po- liceman was wounded yesterday when five armed bandits made an unsuc- cessful attempt to rob the Dressel Commercial and Savings bank on the west side. Fred EBrunke, a patrolman, and Rouillard were in the bank when the robbers entered. Brunke opened fire. but his gun was shot out of his hand. Rouillard offered resistance and one of the robbers killed him. The men then fled. Their automo- bile was pursued by a motorcycle policeman, who exchanged more than 100 shots with them. This was the third time the bank had been held up in the last two weeks. WOMAN WILL SECOND NOMINATION OF PALMER Little Rock, Ark., June 17.—An- nouncement was made here today that Mrs. T. T. FIND DECAPITATED BODY St. Joseph, Mo., June 17.—authori- ties last pight had no clue to the identity of the young woman whose headless body was tound in a lake here yesterday. The body was nude, bound with wire and weighted with iron. It is the theory of the police that the murder was committed some distance from the lake.
