The new form of rate benefits a great majority of consumers during the winter months when the consumption is the maximum, and they will save money by having service supplied during this season of the year billed on the new rates. This being the case we felt that it was proper to put the new rates into effect on all bills rendered after January 1st, 1920. At the time that instructions were issued to put the new rates into effect our District Superintendents were ad- vised that if the consumer objected to paying on the new rates the bill should be adjusted on the basis of the old rates _for the service supplied prior to January 1st, 1920. Mr. N. S. Franklin, our Superintendent in New Britain has full authority in such matters and is authorized to make i any ad]ustments that seem proper, and any consumer can feel free to see him, write him or call him on the ’phone at ‘ any time in regard to anything connected with their lighting service. When you get your lighting bill, check it up. We think it will be satisfactory. If it is not, ask for a revised bill i under the old rates and it will be cheerfully furnished you. i No action on your part will be necessary except to advise our local office (telephone No. 230) that you do not wish i to pay on the new rate for service rendered prior to January 1, 1920. A new bill on the basis of the old rate will be at I once forwarded to you. The Connecticut Light & Power Co.
