NEW BRITAIN DAILY HERALD, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1919, The Eyestrain of the Movies Do you get all the pleasure you should from the ‘movies”? Do.you see the people on the screen, but not their eyes or expressions® Few things have as bad an effect upon the eyesight of grownups and hildren as motion pictures. When viewing the pic- ures the eyes are a mass of motion—cvery muscle orks overtime. The muscles do their best to focus everything, even straining so hard they affect the tired nerves, causing discomfort, headaches, and often put the entire nervous system under severe pressure. More than seventy per cent. of all head- aches are caused by eyestrain, and many other ills may be traced to the same cause. Don’t wait until strain compels you to look after bour eyes. Give the eyes the aid ad ease they de- and before permanent injury develops. Be safe by having your eyes, and especially the hildren’s, examined for defects or strain. Proper blasses should be secured when necessary to#correct he defects. Don’t experiment with your eyes. Come here for an examination, so that you can have the advantage of any improve- ment in your sight. Experience a n d knowledge of the human eye will in- sure you a thorough examination here. A pair of glasses made aspecially to your eye- ight requirements will not only give you immediate elief, but make your visits to the “movies” a com- blete pleasure.
