Danbury, Feb. 16.—Josephine Mec- Alvoy, sixty years old, s in the hospi- tal here suffering from exposure and frost bitten hands, feet and face. She was found unconscious by a train con- ductor at the little station of Shepaug on the New Haven road, located in a remote district. She had left the train the night before at the station saying she was going to work for a i family at Bridgewater. According to her story she sought shelter at a house some distance from the station over night, but in return- ing to the station the next day fell on the ice, suffering severe injury. She crawled to the station for shelter but | was overcome by the cold. She was taken to Washington and from there brought to this city.
