BOARD Afety Having Permanent Trafic Marks At Street Crossings. At the next meeting of the board of public E. G. Bab- cock expects to attend to ask that ac- tion be taken regarding the marking of permanent aisles of safety across Main street at certain points. During the summer lines of safety were painted on the pavement at the National bank corner, at the corner of Church and Main streets at Crowell's corner and across Main street in front of the Savings Bank of New Britain, but traffic and weather quickly caused these marks to become invisable. Since that time there has been noth- ing to guide the pedestrian on his Journey across the thoroughfare.
