As a further precautionary measure | against infantile paralysis, which this city thus far has fortunately escaped, Health Superintendent Reeks will urge the church and Sunday school officials to bar all children returning | to the city from infected areas for the twelve day period. Most of the Sunday schools will reopen after the summer vacation early in September and unless the closest supervision maintained there will be danger of an outbreak, which once begun is liable to travel with alarming rapid- ity. Dr. Recks fears the possibility of an outbreak after the vacation period more than at present when many of the youngsters are out of town at lake and shore resorts. In reference to those now planning to take vacations he urges that great caution be ob- served as to the choice of place. It will be well for those planning vaca- tions to learn definitely whether they are venturing with their children into a nest of disease and if it is discovered that the resort is in an infected area it will be well to abandon altogether.
