BOSTON AND MAINE FAGES RECEIVERSHIP ing Kimball's Offer Boston, Aug. 8.—The possibility of a receivership again looms up before the Boston and Maine railroad. The President Benjamin A. Kimball of the Concord and Montreal to down from 7 to 6 per cent. the divi- dend guaranteed on the stock of that road and scale down from 10 to 8 per cent. the guaranteed dividend on the Connecticut River company sto-k, this in lieu of accepting new. Boston and Maine first preferred stock under any reorganization plan as suggested by the Boston and Maine directorate. President Kimball on many ozca- sions has given expression to the ovinion that reorganization was neces- sary and when State street learned that all he was willing to do toward effective reorganization was to give up 1 per cent. of his guaranted dlvi- dend rapidly, touching the lowest fig- ure in months and closing at the bottom. The Boston and Malne directors came together for a special meeting. They will meet again on the 22nd, the date of the regular meeting, when they will have to consider the ques- tion of the $13,000,000 Boston and Maine notes which come due the 371st and the $4,750,000 of Vermont Valley and Connecticut River notes. Wheth- er they will then recommend an at- tempt at renewal of the notes, which would make the ninth renewal, is the burning question. Previous renewals have been recommended on the ground that plans for reorganization were progressing and that there was a prospect of agreement. At present there is no such prospect. Other members of her family, which lived on the fourth floor, were taken down ladders. The cause of the fire, which started in the basement, is not known. Adjustments Restore Health Quickly and Permanently Nature is the Chiropractor's only aid. Adjustments release impinged nerves, opening the way for Nature tc dispatch energy over the nerve circuit to keep the body well. Nearly all bodily affliction is due to nerve on at the spinal column, as pressure disturbs normal nerve functionating, giving rise to inflam- mation in and unnatural action of parts the nerves supply. Pain and distress are two manifestations abnormal conditions. Tl will continue in varyving degree until the nerve pressure is adjusted away Chiropractic adjustments correct ab- normalities without the use of drugs or instruments. Nature follows such adjustments with a cure. Drugs only check dis-ease. Behind all effect there is cause. The obviously sensible thing to do would be to correct the cause. Chiropractic is the science of cause. practor most certainly locates cause of all incoordination (dis-ease) and eliminates it. There can be but one result of such adjustment; health such health back is removed. G. W. Van Alstyne, D. C. (Grad. Palmer School) 'Phone 1732 for house calls or appointments.
