Now, be it known, that by the au- thority vested in the Commissioner on ' Domestic Animals by Chapter 227 of the Public Acts of 1915, the following orders and regulations are - hereby s mwade and declared to be in force from this date: Section 1. No horses, asses, mules, cattle, sheep, or other ruminants or swine shall be brought into the State of Connecticut by any individual or common carrier without the written pérmission of the Commissioner on ®*Domestic Animals; such written per- 1nit must accompany all way-bills or if animals are driven or carted over the highways must be in the posses- gion of man in charge of such animals. Section 2. All horses, asses and mules brought into Connecticut must, #in addition to complying = with the rules and regulations dated January 15th, 1914, be properly disinfected before shipment, and a certificate, ap- proved by the authorities having jurisdiction of such matters in the state from which shipment is made, showing that such disinfection was praperly made, must be furnished the Commissioner of this State before such animals are released from quar- »antine. Section 3. All cattle, sheep, other ruminants, or swine, when not for im- mediate slaughter must, in addition to all other requirements mnow in effect, be held in strict quarantine and separated from all other animals at the expense of the ownerg for a period of twenty-five days and until geleased by the Commissioner on Tomestic Animals or his agent. Section 4. All boats, cars, crates, wagons, vans, or other vehicles used in the transportation of live animals must be thoroughly cleaned and dis- infected before such animals are placed in same for shipment into this State and a certificate furnished to ¥he Commissioner on Domestic Ani- mals in the same manner as provided in Section 2, before such animals are released from quarantine.
