Miller's joke- book, edition of 1,323) in all his pomp and glory and precipitated the gentle drops from which a mighty ocean is made in superabundance: The rainfall for the month amounted to 7.24 inches. The skies were not wont to weep so copiously in the olden days, this fact being shown by the records of Clerk Egan of the water’ ‘department for years agone. The August records follow: In 1914, 2.60 inches; in 1913, 2.85: ir 1912, 1.50; in 1911, 5.51; in 1919, 2.62; in 1909, 3.09; in 1908, 6.41; in 1907, 1.17; in 1906, 2.38 inches- (4 ies saranteed i L y Russel] Bros. —advt.
