ZEPPELIN AIRSHIPS PATROL NORTH SEA Activity of TIleet Continues Despite Fact That Two Airships Recently Have Been Lost. London, Feb. 19, 11:15 a. m.—The activity of Zeppelin airships over the North sea continues, telegraphs the correspondent at Copenhagen of the London Star, and this in spite of the fact that two airships recently have been lost. Gaps in the fleet caused by disaster are being filled by Zeppe- lins drawn from the airship stations in western Germeony. A despatch received from Copen- hagen last night described the loss of two German airships in the North sea. The Zeppelin I.-3 exploded on Fance Island Wednesday and another such airship, commanded by Captain Count Platen, sank ten miles north of Jutland yesterday. It has been asscrt- ed that t entire Zeppelin fleet patrolling the North sea just outside of English water Zeppelin No. 2 is believed to be the flagship of the flo- tilla. Another despatch from Rotterdam the Dutch steamer "Helena was overhauled in the North sea last Tucs- day by Zeppelin 1.-5, which trainsd her gu on the steamer and orderod her to heave-to. When satisfled as to the Helena's identity the captain of the Zeppelin apologized and reascend- ed with his craft. NEW CANCER SERUM PROVES SUCCESSFUL Medical Board of General Memorial Hospital of New York to Pub- lish Result of Year's Work. New York, Feb, 19.—The results of the work of nearly a year by sicians, surgeons and labaratory s of the General Memorial hospital of this city, tending to show the suc- cess of the new cancer serum, are expected to be published soon in an official report of the medical board of the institution, according to an- nouncement made today. The report will contain the name of the discoverer of the new serum, its composition, the details of the preliminary laboratory work, and the individual medical histories of the ratients so far treated in the hos- pital. The announcements forecast this report as one of the most im- portant contributions to science em- anating from the medical professions in this country.
