Miss Bates is a very tal- ented elocutionist and was heard to splendid advantage on this occasion Her story of the Convict of the Dun- geon was dramatically rendered and given with that expression which comes of long study and superior training, Miss Bates havinz special- ized in elocution while at Brenau and Southern Colleges.
