PRESS REPORTER. | 8TRICKLAND CHILD WILL SOON BE OUT OF ALL DANGER The little six-year-old Strickland child, who is alive today as a result of the nursing of Miss Spina, the trained nurse whose services have been paid for through the Telegram charity fund, is improving but is not yet entirely out of danger. The funds subscribed for her relief by the kind-hearted pcople of i.akeland have amounted to date to $56.75. Yesterday rounded out two weeks of nursing and Dr. Leffers, who has treated the little girl free of charge for four ‘weeks, told Miss Spina that the funds were about gone and that there would not be enough to pay her further. She unhesitatingly de- clared that she would donate her services until the child was well. This, however, the Telegram feels is unnecessary although appreciated. There remained a small balance in the charity fund received before this 'case was brovzht to light, and we will use this in connection with any cther denations that may come ip to keep the nurse on as long'as she is required. Each year the tickets have been sold by loyal friends anxious for the success of this educational enterprise in 'our midst. Several of the guaranters purchasing 10 or 15 or 20 ticketa and disposing .of them to their friends, thus in the hands of sev- eral the work is made lighter. Pro- grams may be had at room 326 Ho- tel Kibler, of the secretary, Mrs. Adams, or at the Telegram office, or many of the businees nouses. Look: it over and then secure your ticket from Mrs. Adams, room 326 Hotel! Kibler, or others who are selling them. ! Reserve your Chautauqua seat Friday, Feb. 6, at 4 p. m., at the Red Cross drug store. To do this vou had better see that you have it purchased beforehand. No reduction in season seat tickets wil! be made this year. They will cost $5 each at any ilate. They are economical as there will be three fifty-cent attractions; two lectures by Geo. R. Stuart amd a special concert number. Also the re-' served seats will be held for the Sun- day If only night pro- grams are attended the cost with re- gerved seats would be §5. Better have a season ticket and get what you can of the cther program. Children Provided for at the Chautauqua Eighty front seats will be reserved for children under twelve years of age who attend school, at the child's ticket price of one dollar, as long as, they last. All other reserved seats, add two Hollars to the admission price for season ticket, thus making, season reserved seat ticket for adults $5, and for school pupils over 12 years of age $4. You may select !these where you prefer. Last year at the Natlonal Lyceum Association, when the ways and rreans for providing the best enter- tainments for Chautatqua patrons was being discussed, and the ques- tion of children occupying the front seats was suggested, lecturers and entertainers who had been here com- plimented the splendid behavior of our children in these reserved seats. Hence we believe these little ladies and gentlemen of school aze are de- serving of this recognition. Chil- dren under school age should be with parents. A posta! card or phone message to Mrs. Adams, room 326, Hotel Kibler, will engage these seats as long as they last, or report to Miss Cora Griffin, primary department, public school. reserved services.
