Mr. Lufsey has not moved to Dixie- land, as reported to Saturday's Even- ing Telegram, but is still at his hom= on Tennessee avenue. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Holbrook are spending several days at Green . Springs where it is hoped the waters ! will prove quite beneficial to Mr. Hol- | brook's condition. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Holworthy and Mrs. Eli T. Merriman visited Bartow jand Winter Haven yesterday, and were much impressed with both Bardin's big clearance sale started Saturday and all day and far into the pight the store was filled with shop- pers cager to take advantage of the many bargains which had been ad- vertised. This sale will continue un- til April 6, and, as Mr. Bardin is re- ceiving goods daily, which he will put on at greatly reduced prices, there will be big bargains for all until the very last day. ——————— Mr, and Mrs. English, who, with their son Harry have been spending the winter in Lakeland, having rooms at Mrs. George Lee's, leave Wednes- day for their home in Chicago. They were so delighted with Lakeland that they purchased a lot in Dixieland, on which Mr. English has planted a number of fruit trees and made other fmprovements. They expect to return early next winter and spend a longer time. They made many friends who will be glad to welcome them back. Mr. Picrce McCrary, of New York is in Lakeland on a visit to his moth- er, Mrs. P. R.
