Page 8 THE KEY WEST CITIZEN Wednesday, December 22, 1954 Try A ‘Quick Action’ Citizen Classified Ad - Dial 2-566] or 2-5662 Airliner Reports Shellbursts Seen In Formosa Area TOKYO (~The crew of a North- west Orient airliner which arrived tonight from Hong Kong reported seeing distant shellbursts after leaving Taipeh, Formosa, today for Okinawa. “It was nothing to get concerned about, it was so far away,” said Walter Bullock of Lakeview, Minn., veteran pilot of the four-engine DC4. He said his plane was over water when he saw three shell- bursts to the right, two about five miles away and one about a mile away after his plane carrying 23 passengers left Taipeh. Northwest headquarters in St. Paul, Minn., had been notified the Okinawa-bound plane was fired on and a Northwest official in Tokyo had said it was by Chinese Na- tionalist guns. After hearing Capt. Bullock’s re- port, a Northwest official here said “it must have been either practice or some trigger happy Chinese, It was over Chinese Nationalist ter- titory at the time.” Lad Is Hero SHARON, Mass. — William Kingsley, 15, was doing his home- work last night when he spotted an auto skid off an icy road and stall on New Haven Railroad tracks. He snatched a light from his bicycle and ran to the tracks. He stood on the tracks waving the light back and forth in time to halt an oncoming train. The train proceeded after the car, owned by Dr, Vincent P. Ryan, was pushed from the tracks. LEGAL NOTICES Ce SR NOTICE UNDER FICTITIOUS ; N, ‘ATUT!
