GS Troop 10 Has Court Of Awards Last Saturday There were some very proud mamas and daddies at the Wesley House last Saturday night as they| watched their young daughters, members of Girl Scout Troop 10, serve a delicious spaghetti supper and afterwards receive hard-earn- ed Girl Scout badges in an impres- sive Court of Awards. Miss Arlene Merritt, co-leader of the troop, conducted the candle light ceremony. Ten tall green candles, each one representing one of the Girl Scout laws, were lighted by members of the troop as each repeated one of the laws. Miss Merritt then officially in- vested Sylvia Machin and present- ed her with her Girl Scout pin, and welcomed Diana Covington, a transfer, to the troop. Second class rank and proficien- cy badges were awarded to Flor- ence Hoffman, Kathy Hanskat, Tommie Sue Montgomery, Janet Greenlee and Barbara Luke. Second Class Scouts who receiv- ed additional badges were Marie} Huggins, Vera Stout, Madeline Han-| son! Darnella Carey and Sheila Stegsland. Beverly Sue Jones was advanced to first class and Sally Lewinski an& Ginny Nolte received theif curved bars. These girls were also given their proficiency badges.
