The evening should be a rewarding one for those who turn out to see the combination of hot notes and bright bursting stars at the Key West High School Stadium. It has long been an established fact that music has universal ap- peal, and Dorsey High’s band from Miami will provide lots of music at the event. These youngsters are crowd - pleasers. Veteran musicians say that this is one of the best march- ing bands to come from the Miami area. Fireworks are being used more and more. frequently as an enter- tainment medium. One reason for the use of this medium is the fact | that definite themes can be chosen for audiences. ara Yuletide Festival at the High School dium December 17 will have a Christmas theme and will include novel ground displays as well as varied aerial bursts. Private Talks On Disarmament Set For February UNITED NATIONS, N. Y. (7—| Russia and the Western atomic powers have a tentative date to begin private disarmament talks in London next February. But the Soviets say Western plans to re- arm West Germany make actuel arms cuts impossible. The tentative date was set yes- terday at a meeting of representa- tives of the United Stats, the So- viet Union, Britain, France and Canada. It is subject to final ap- proval of their governments. The private talks by the five na- tions were recommended: recently by the U. N. General Assembly. In agreeing to the schedule, So- viet Delegate Arkady Sobolev told Western representatives the Lon- don and Paris agreements to free and rearm West Germany “lead to serious aggravation of the in- ternational situation and consider- ably increase the threat of a new war.” _—_—_—_—_— Sta-| item in its calendar of annual events.
