Mrs. Mary Blow called the meeting to order and Mrs. Vir- ginia McKeown, study course chair- man, introduced Mrs. Sylvia Lance, special guidance teacher, who ex- plained to the group what her duties were, and how she went a- bout helping a child that needs special guidance. The discussion was enjoyed very much. A roll call of all the room moth- ers was held, and reports from all the Halloween Festival committees were made. The Halloween Festival will be held on Friday, October 29, at the school from 4:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. There will be fun for all, and every child and parent and friends are invited to come out and par- ticipate in the Halloween fun. The costume parade will begin at 5 p.m. and prizes will be award- | ed to the winners, Cold drinks, hot | dogs, cakes, candies, snow cones | and balloons will be for sale. There will be fortune telling, house of horrors, and darts to en- yy. The mothers are working hard to make this Festival the best yet. but the success depends on your coming out and bringing your children. A. Woodward, Sunday from four to five. The teatable was covered with beautiful Italian madiera cloth. The floral centerpiece was made up of yellow double and single hibis- cus, ca'la lilies and fern. On either side of the centerpiece | p were yellow tapers carrying out| yy the chapter’s colors. The silver tea services, silver- ware and china at either end of the table completed this impres: sive setting. Helen Walkington and Josephine James poured. Tea sandwiches and cookies in the sorority colors of yellow and black were served also.
