Scout Troops have reported on their activities this week. If every Brownie and In- termediate Troop would appoint a reporter, we could have a nice col- umn every Saturday and all Girl Scouts in town would know what their sister Scouts are doing. How about it? Barbara Willard, Scout reporter for Troop 14 writes: “On Saturday the second of Oct- ober, the Girl Scouts of Troop 14 had a cookout at the Flag Field on the Seaplane Base. “Rhoda Sturtevant, Katherine Cooper, Susan Young and Dianna Patsiga were in charge of all the refreshments. “Catherine Rule was in charge of all the games. “Our leaders, Mrs. Dunton, Mrs. White and Mrs. Spear were pre- sent.” Judith Forns of Troop 5 tells us: “Troop 5 will have its annual Family Supper this year on Mon- day, October 18 at 6:30 p. m. “On the menu will be spaghetti and meatballs, as the main course, olives, iced tea, assorted pickles, Cuban cocas and cake. “The supper will be held down- stairs at the Congregational Church Service Center. There will be var- ious types of entertainment pro- vided by the troop.” Collection Slow For Hospital Fans Mrs. Henry Sands, president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Mon- roe General Hospital, said today that only $24 has been raised thus far in the drive to furnish the hos- pital with wall fans. The goal set in this drive was $1,000, but as there has been prac- tically no response to the appeal, installation of fans will have to be put off until a later date.
