The tile is made with marble powder, marble dust colors, sillica sands, white cement and careful mixing. The tile colors are blended by the use of an electric driven vibrator. The concern, only one of its kind in Key West, is located at 808 Caroline Strect. In the top picture, Paul Roberts, owner of the new business, super- vises the removal of a mold that is used to form slump brick. Re- moving the mold are Louis Sul- livan, left, and Edward Clayton. In the lower picture, Sullivan Operates the electric vibrator used to blend the marble dust colors in tile construction. Tile Preparation is made from care- ful mixing of marble dust, silica sands, white cement and chemi- cals. After being steel reinforced, the mixture is poured into the mold where the colors are blend- ed by the vibrator.
