County Building Permits Continue To Soar Figures Show Building And Population Increase In Keys Building permits in Monroe County outside of Key West amounted to $254,024 for September, bringing the total for the year to $2,447,878, it was announced today. There was a total of 44 permits issued in September. The total for the year now is 370. These figures compare favorably with the Oet. 1, 1952, to Dec. 31, 1958, period when 458 permits for §3,- : 561,353 were issued. The county began issying build- ing permits on Oct. 1, 1952.
