Building Continues To Surge At Marathon ‘Road To Nowhere’ Hits News Again As New Home Is Built By DENIS SNEIGR The Road to Nowhere—which took a good kick- ing around in last election’s politicking — wag back in the news today. The road, S-931 at Marathon, is getting its. second $22,000 residence. A county building permit for the two-bedroom CBS home has been issued to Ed Germain. The new residence. will be near an already existing home that ‘was built in the same price range. Both home sites are about a block from the Marathon County Beach. The Road to Nowhere charge was brought up by opponents to Bernie C. Papy’s campaign for re-election to the state legislature. Papy won by an overwhelming majority. The residence that is already. built on the road is owned by John C. Sawyer. Aside from the news about the Road to Nowhere, all the rest of the county’s building news seems to center around the Marathon area again this week. 800th Permit For instance, the eight-hundred- th building permit issued by the county for construction in unin- corporated areas was handed to Raymond G.
