Page 10 L&M Change Cigarettes To King Size Now Continuing its policy of offering smokers the most complete line of quality tobacco products in the in- dustry, Liggett and Myers Tobacco Company announced today the in- troduction of its new king-size L and M Filters. The new L and M kings will get nation-wide distribu- tion this week at the same low price as the regular L and Ms. L and Ms have already won the quickest, most enthusiastic nation- wide acceptance a cigarette ever had in the few months time they have been available to the public. Shortly after L and Ms were in- troduced, thousands of dealers from coast to coast reported in signed statements that L and Ms were the largest selling filter tip cigarette. L and M’s success is attributed to the brand’s ‘mir- acle tip” filter, which gives the smoker much more flavor and much less nicotine. The new king- size L and M is exactly the same in all respects as the popular re- gular L and M, except for its lar- ger size. Liggett and Myers became the first tobacco company in history to offer a premium quality cigar- ette in regular and king size when it introduced its popular Chester- field brand in the larger size over two years ago. THE KEY WEST CITIZEN FOR FAST ‘QUICK ACTION’ RESULTS — DIAL 2-5661 or 2-5662 Monday, August 2, 1954 Indochina Truce Group To Begin Supervisory Work By EUGENE LEVIN NEW DELHI, India — The Indochina truce commission worked today on plans to begin at least token supervision in the Far East battleground by Aug. 11, the date on which the cease-fire becomes finally effective over the whole country. Representatives of the three na- tions on the armistice group — In- dia, Canada and Poland — agreed at an initial organization meeting here yesterday to send a 12-man advance party to Indochina within a week. The cease-fire became effective in North Viet Nam last Tuesday and in central Viet Nam yesterday. It will spread to Laos on Aug. 6, Cambodia the next day and will take effect in South Viet Nam — the rest of the country — on Aug. ll. Inaugurating the commission’s first meeting, Indian Prime Min- ister Nehru told the representa- tives of Canada and Poland he doubted “whether we can really start functioning adequately” by the final cease-fire date, on which the Geneva agreement provides the group, is to begin its work. But “it may be possible to start functioning in a formal way by sending somebody there,” added. é were searching for a “frogman” they believe stole the outboard motor they use to chase law- breaking shell fishermen. Walter Kenyon, skipper of the State Patrol Board, said only a “frogman,” equipped with aqua lung and webbed flippers on his feet, could have cut their boat loose from its moorings Saturday night. The boat was found yesterday without its motor, valued at more than $400, LEGAL NOTICES NOTICE I will not be responsible for any debts ee by anyone other Dated July 31, 1954. A.
