Youth week is observed annually by the Baptist denomina- ‘tion as a spur toward interesting young men and women in church affairs. Young People To Assume Leadership Week Of Activities To Honor Baptist Youth A full week’s activities, honoring the youth of the church, have been planned for the week beginning the First Baptist Church, Eaton and Bahama Streets. During the week of July 4 through 11, young people will as- sume positions of leadership and, under the guidance of the regular church officers, will carry out the schedule of activities planned for the week. Don Glenn, a young Navy enlist- ed man, was chosen as pastor for the week and will’ conduct the evening services on Sunday, the ‘Wednesday evening prayer service and the morning worship services on July 11. Link to Advise He will be advised by Pastor Harold H. Link, who will conduct the morning services on July 4, us- ing as his sermon topic “‘Youth’s ¥| Great Investment.” Young people’s Pastor Glenn will use as his subject at the evening hour “Sanctification of the Believ- .” At 2 p.m., Sunday, young men named to serve as deacons will sit in with the regular deacons’ group in the regularly monthly meeting and assist in the planning of the church program. Rededication | Following this the congregation will adjourn to the parsonage lawn where a brief service of rededica- tion will be held and at which time Clyde Stickney, chairman of the church board, will officially present the building to the minister to be rededicated “to the glory of Al- mighty God and to the purpose of fellowship, study, and service.” _ Folowing the service of rededica- tion a period of fellowship will be enjoyed and an opportunity given to inspect the interior of the par- sonage.
