& SUE JONES, Editor SUSEASSSY School was almost out for the summer—the day had been long and warm—and the little boy was red-headed. Consequently, when he acted up, his teacher, Winifred Frizzell ‘told him: he was being punished ‘and would have to stay after school — those time-honored words which we have all heard. | At the end of the school day, his teacher said he could either stay in his room with his head on his desk, or accompany her to a meet- in of the Junior Garden Club—their first. Well, you can readily see the bight the active fourth-grader was caught in. So—he chose the Gar- den Club meeting and felt rather strange that he knew no one there. As in-all such meetings—officers were elected. The kids: were told to just write the name of whom- ever they thought would be a good president on a piece of paper.
