In the 1952 primary about 7,900 persons went to the polls. Tomorrow’s total vote will be at least equal that figure and in all probability top it. On the Democratic ballot in Monroe County, voters will find 27 candidates listed for nine jobs. Of the nine races, the one which has drawn the great- est interest is the three-way fight for state representa- tive from Monroe County. Bernie C. Papy, who has served 10 terms — 20 years — in the house is being challenged for an- other term by Dave King, former city manager, and C. B. Harvey, mayor of Key West.
