Community Auditorium. THESE CHANGING TIMES Shortly after 1900, a girl named Annette Keller- man appeared on a public beach near Boston, Mass., in a one-piece bathing suit. She, and her father who ac-| companied her, were hauled before a magistrate and} charged with indecent exposure. Her father told the judge that the one-piece suit, which reached down to the ankles, was not indecent, as| charged, and that it was the only practical suit for a girl who swam twelve-mile distances. This bit of reasoning appealed to most Americans, even those who. shivered at the thought of a girl show-| ing her ankles. And, the march of progress, plus the ap-} peal of Miss Kellerman, established the one-piece bath-| ing suit as acceptable in this country, Times have changed a lot since the early part of the century, when the one-piece bathing suit of Miss; Kellerman shocked the citizens of Boston.
