The loss, the Conch’s fourth of the season (their second in conference play) came as the result of a fast break that was just too much for them to cope with on the large upstate court. The victory boosted Broward into a tie with the Conchs and| gave South Dade undisputed pos- session of first place in the stand- ings. Miami Tech, who whipped Miami Beach last night, also shar-| ®s second place with the Conchs and Broward, All have a record of three wins and two defeats, In last night’s battle, the Bull- flogs took advantage of a shoddy Conch defense during the first quarter to pile up a 20-9 lead.
