THE KEY WEST CITIZEN Page 3 Poinciana Will Tuesday, December 15, 1953 Harris School Gives Party At La Concha Harris School Faculty and guests were entertained by the Harris School Room Mothers recently at La Concha Hotel with a deliciou turkey dinner. The tables were de corated with poinsettias, Florida holly, hibiscus, and blooms from { the Christmas candle tree. In charge of the decorations were Lo rene Campbell, Florence Key, Mic key Laird and Dorothy Claxton. Margaret Armfield and Jean Knowles prepared the place cards Mrs, Annie Ulehar and Mrs. Juan ita Pinder pinned corsages on the ladies as they entered. Willie Mae Simmons welcomed everyone as chairman of the room mothers and Mrs, Ethea Stricker gave the response. As a surprise event of the evening a group of the teachers entertained with the sing- ing of Christmas carols. News- papers were handed out and the contest was on for the making of the best hat from materials ot hand. Vincent Gehr won the prize for his original design.
