Installation officer was Mrs, Piedad Archer, Past president of the Sinawiks. The organization, now in i ond year, will be headed this sea- son by Deanna Archer as president, Katherine Boaz is first vice presi- dent; Pat Byrd, second vice-presi- dent; Joyce Johnson, treasurer; Lynn Sellers, secretary; and a board of directors which includes Lois Robinson, Joan Knowles, Syl- via Ebey and Katherine Sanchez. Corsages were presented to the newly installed girls by Mrs. Don- na Chapman, high school teacher who has been appointed as the club’s sponsor. iss Katherine Boaz, retiring president of the group was presented with a gift from club members, The officers were commended by Mrs. Archer for their excellent leadership. Miss Boaz said in her farewell speech how much being president had meant to her and that she would treasure her term of office as one of the happiest events of her school days. Incomi president, Miss Archer told what the Keyette unit meant to her and that she hoped to carry on the ideals of her club mates as set before her by the previous officers. The club motto is “Build and Serve.” The leading letters of the club’s title stand for “Keep Every Youth Entirely Turned Toward Evalued Standards.” Five graduating Keyettes intro- duced, were the Misses Carol Wal- ton, Evelyn Nettles, Katherine Brady, Shirley Trudeau, Jeanie Canova, .Miss Nettles was seleected as outstanding Keyett senior and | was presented with a trophy on clas night. | NEW OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS of the Keyette Club turn out to be pretty as well as brainy.
