Cliff Waller’s Honest King upset .the predictions of the dopesters last night when he came in a winner in the feature race at the Key West Kennel Club with a _five and a half length edge ever Avenger who was seen to be a winner. It was an easy win for Honest King at the finish although he lost an early lead when Kitty Hutch made a surprising bid but then faded. Avenger finished second with a good effort while Stepping By ran third: The winner paid 5.00, 3.00 and 2.40 while Avenger returned 4.20 and 2.80. Stepping By paid 2.40. The second race Quiniela Light- ning Rodney and Lucky Teter paid a nice 173.00 while the Daily Dou- ble which coupled Nick Lutz and Lightning Rodney paid a neat 84.00. In tonight’s feature race, a top field of Grade-A greyhounds, led by Mrs. H. E. Russell’s Reckoning will go to the post in search of the purse. Reckoning captured a first in her last race over such competitors as Pagoda and High Stakes and will be a definite threat tonight. Picture, a three year old owned by R. K. Hutchings also looms as a possible winner on the basis of his past record which includes two victories in four starts.
