Poinciana School Sets Festival On Friday, May 8 A very satisfactory meeting of the Poinciana Elementary School Room representatives was held in the school auditorium at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday evening April 28. chairman, Mrs. Dorothy Render, presided over the meet- Tt was decided to hold the an- nual May Day Festival on the School grounds at 5:00 p. m., May 8. Mrs. Ranes will be in charge of the cake sale, assisted by all room mothers. The cold drinks will be in the charge of Mr. and Mrs. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Israel and Mr, and Mrs, H. D. Carey. Dolice Curry and Edna Miller discussed the novel ideas they are working on to present a bid for having the 1954 Convention in Key West. Progress was reported on money raising projects for putting on the Convention. After hearing all these wonder- ful plans hope is high that dele- gates come hom from St. Peters- burg with the 1954 convention in their pockets. Rhodecap, music teacher, has pre- pared an.interesting program with the usual May Pole dances, ballet numbers and novelty danc- es.
