Naval Station Pistol Team Makes Good Showing In Tampa Meet Shooting it out with 41 top- flight teams from all over Amer- ica, the U. S. Naval Base Pistol Team took 12th place in the final team standings at the Tampa- Mid-Winter Nationals last week. Fleet Sonar School’s Lt. Joe Brewer, team captain, gives great credit to the Military Pistol Matches held on Stock Island for the fine team showing and all team members ave unanimous in ‘heir endorsement ot these mon- chly events. Russell, captured a win last night in the feature race at the Key West Ken- nel Club when she took an early lead and maintained a blistering pace to edge. the favorite Avenger and Wil- shire, who ran third. Tenny C. took the first leg of the Key West Medley Stakes last night when she edged Do or Die and Brindle Comer in a hardfought duel. The favored Mort ran fourth.
