Harris (D-Ark). The law requires state officers and employes to swear they are not affiliated with the Communist Party or any other organization that advocates violent overthrow of government. It also requires a promise to take up arms in de- fense of the United States. | Justice Clark, who wrote the court’s main opinion, said: “Indiscriminate classification of of commercial sponsors in cultural and educational programs. 5. Validity of the law was question- ed by seven former teachers of the Oklahoma Agricultural and Me- chanical College. They declined to take the oath and were fired on May 21, 1951. Each had a contract of employ- ment extending until June 30, 1951. It was stipulated in Oklahoma courts that none of the teachers was connected with a subversive organization. YOUNG AND OLD, DEATH TAKES BOTH. ST. CHARLES, Mo, # — The oldest and youngest residents of nearby Schulersburg were buried just an hour apart yesterday. John Teckemeier, ar 88-year-old retired farmer, was buried at 2 p.m, Sixty minutes later burila services were held for 6-month-old George White III, a pneumonia victim.
