Amendment No. 6, if adopted, will give Monroe State Senator. At County its own present Monroe is a part of a senatorial district that includes Lee, counties. With those three lier Hendry and Col- mainland counties sticking togeth- er, Monroe can never hope to get a senator. A vote for this amend- ment is a vote for Monroe county. Amendment No. 7, which this committee also favors, would give the Monroe County Tax Assessor to fix assessments for all subdivisions in the county, including cities.
