The news of the sale came out _| when Louis M. Eisner, Board mem- | | ber asked that the Board give per- mission to Bonamy. to assign the lease of City Electric's lot used by the motel for parking to the buyers. Bonomy has a lease that runs un- til June 1, 1953, with an option for renewal for two additional years He pays $100 a month to use the lot for parking for his motel cust- omers. Board Attorney J. Lancelot Lest- er who also represented George Bonamy in the lease negotiations had drafted a resolution for the assignment of lease. It provides that the present rate of $100 a month will run for the new buyers until June’1, 1953, but that thereafter Lubin will have to pay $125 a month for the lease on the property, or $1500 a year. Eisner moved the adoption of the resolution and it was agreed upon unanimously, by Board mem: bers. Rumors of the sale of the motel to Lubin have been around town for months. The Citizen did not publish the news until ft was con- firmed at the Util:ty Board meet- ing last week by Bonamy and Eisner. Sale price has not yet been disclosed. The motel, however is one of the most luxurious in the South street area, and is priced accordingly. RENT FORUM These questions were selected from those often asked of the local rent office. The new 2600 road leads the huge Navy housing project right to Duck avenue. Thirty feet wide but motorists going to Wickers Field stadium to cut their time and distance. It further lightens the traffic load on. Flagler avenue. Before 13th street was ready for {use, First street and Fifth street were the only channels across the island, north of White street. Though the road has not been oiled yet, it is being used by grateful motorists. Roberts supervised a grader operator, bulldozer operator, roll- er and the water wagon operator on the job. “It would have been completely done now except for another sewer breakdown,” Roberts said today. The hard top road will be a boon to the entire city, not only to ten- ants of Sigsbee Park. It makes a short cut to the other side of the Island. The city started the job of rolling marl on 13th street on August 25.
