Gregorio Rodriguez, 20, and Jose Cisnero, 18, will be tried before Criminal Court on charges of steal- ing the car of Robert Welch, USN, last week, Peace Justice Ira Albury found following a hearing at 5 p. m., yesterday. The two youths had bond set at $250 each in the case that also in- volved a 16 year old boy who is being investigated by Juvenile Court Judge Eva Warner Gibson. The two young men pleaded guil- ty to the charges of which they are accused. They did not ask for counsel. Cisnero, younger of the two at the hearing testified that he didn’t .| know the Ford belonging to Welch was stolen until Rodriguez “fooled with the wires.” Rodriguez denied being the ring leader of the group. Florida Highway Patrolman Mar- vin J. Wilder and Deputy Sheriff Serge Hernandez testified to the events of the evening of August 11, when the stolen car was located. Wilder said he was near the Overseas cafe on Stock Island when he got a tip that the Ford driving by was a stolen car. He gave chase and rounded up the juvenile who tried to escape him. Through fur- ther investigation he and Hernan- dez rounded up the other two boys and arrested them last Friday. Owner of the stolen car Robert Welch testified that he had parked his car Wednesday at the Seaplane Base where he had the duty. He did not know his car was missing. Wilder returned the stolen car to him.
