Gains were fractional in the Steels, and elsewhere the advance extended a bit past a point. On the downside losses amounted to fractions to around a point. Key West Native Here For Duty At Naval Station A native Key Wester, Howard Spratli Jones, Dentalman, has reported board the Naval Sta- tion for duty in the Dental De- partment at the Naval Dispen- sary. Jones, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Harry N. S. Jones, 7393 S. W. 79th Court, South Miami, was born in Key West in 1930, Prior to his entry into the service, Jones graduate. from Miami Senior High in 1048, then attended Emory Univefsfty, Atlanta, Georgia, and also the University of Florida. He was an active-member of Sigma Nu Fraternity while in college. “Boot” training for Jones was received at San Diego, Califor- nia, and his next assignment was aboard the USS McNair (DD- 679).
