Services occasion will begin at 7:30 a.m. Yiskor Memorial will take place about 8:00 am. on that date with Rabbi Schwartz in charge. Yiskor is the memorial paid to spect the names of those dead make a special effort to attend these services no matter how busy we may be. There are six different occasions during the year'when these memorials for the deceased are held and the Passover is one of them. Syna- gogues are expected to be filled as usual for this event. By the way, it was very nice to see the Navy so well repre- sented at the synagogue during the first two days of the Pass- over holiday. Neat navy uni- forms showed up nicely as each man read the prayers with great interest and sincerity. After, services each man was given a personal invitation to a Passover dinner to be held in the homes of various members. Passover dinners eaten in the private homes by these far away from home will furnish pleasant memories to those who partook for all time to come. This collection includes small oils, water colors, pen and ink drawings and the unusual scratch-board work, a medium which is becoming in- creasingly popular in modern art circles, The treatment of abstract technique and expression in Miss Kirke’s paintings is of interest not only because of its richness and variety, but because of her excellent accent on design. Miss Kirke’s father, Wallace B. Kirke, is also noted for his finely done contributions to the world of art. He aided ‘ie. in the preparation and hanging of the paintings at today’s opening.
