On December 6, Mr. Curry attended a class in Miami at which time he jwas given instructions in the new } method. | The American National Red Cross, together with many other organizations has adopted respira- | tion the back-pressure-arm lift met- hod of manuai artifical respiration as preferable to the prone pressure which has been standard in this country for many years. A supple- ment to the First Aid Textbook is being prepared describing the standard technique and_ illustrat- ing the postions of the victim and the poreator. This supplement will soon be available to chapters for distribution without cost with cop- ies of textbooks.
