Judges were Mrs. Dwight Putnam, Mrs. Francis Bates, and Shop Hopper. Mrs. Gladys Jackson. It was difficust to pick winners from all the models shown, but finally the prizes awarded. Best of the contest, a dress length from Butoons, Pins and Bows was awarded to Mrs. Jean Giedzinski for a gabardine raincoat of na- tural color, lined with plaid taf- feta. Mrs. Lee Larson won a prize with a lovely striped sh berg in pin::, grey and with a gold leather belt Mrs. Emma Braxton also won a prize in the afternoon class dress with a@ Davy and ‘white printed voile which she made at a total cost of $1. In the sports dress de- partment, Mrs. Mace won a prize with a button-down-the-front rayon non-crushable linen, and Mrs. Pat Holt in an interesting woven cotl ton of brown and white with a swing skirt and a cunning little pointed collar. This too featured an unusual belt. Mrs. Bernice Lunsford was uni- que in that she won two prizes. One was for a man’s shirt of beige gabardine and the other for a love- yellow, was beige crepe wtih huge bow tie and a black faille skirt tucked across the front Other winner in the skirt and blouse department was Mrs. Janet LeFebvre who wore a soft blue blouse with pert shir- red sleeves and a brown gabar- dine skirt with detachable peplum. The prize for the sun dress with packet went to Mrs. Tina Jordan who wore a band print of large vi- vid flowers trimed with gold fac- ing, and covered with a smart black faille packet.
