Commissioner Allen said that bids on the backstops and posts for the three néw courts at County Beach would be called for in the very near future. “But,” said he, “this does not mean that the courts will be ready very soon.” The Tennis Club has stated that it is holding up the 195I City Championships and the boys and girls championships until the courts are in play- ing condition.
